How To Eliminate The 4 Biggest Time Management Mistakes And Decrease Stress In Your Life!
As a patient of this office, I know how much the stress in your life affects your health. Through the magic of computerized testing you have seen the way that stress affects your health by affecting the function of your nerves. Think how much your health will improve every time you do something to eliminate some stress. One of the biggest stress areas in people’s lives is time management. With a Busy life often comes stress, patients often feel like they don’t have enough time. Therefore it’s easy to get into the habit of procrastination.
Here are my top 4 ways to help decrease this stress by managing your time:
1) Get Focused
When dealing with a large project it is – start with small goals. Break large projects into smaller chunks, and complete one small job at a time. checking smaller jobs as done on a list gives you momentum to keep going. This is excellent motivation and it feels great. For the more difficult jobs set a timer to only work 15 minutes on it that day. Often, once the timer rings, continue working, or not, at least you got some of the job done and it will be there for you again.
Lack of focus means a lack of goals… setting clear measurable goals with a deadline is important.
2) One Thing At Time
Everyone feels like they’re spread too thin.
When you’re learning something new, it can be really exciting. Making progress and successfully learning new skills or knowledge. but it can also become overwhelming. As the learning progresses and becomes more difficult, the amount of work increases. Take the time to slow down and, if needed, drop a few of the items you’re trying to master until a later date. All things are learn-able with practice. It often helps to break up tasks into bite sized chunks and master one thing at a time.
Choose the one area that you want to improve the most. Focus on that area first.
3) You Have A Lack Of Clarity
We’ve all had tasks that were not clearly laid out. Lack of clarity is a productivity killer. All jobs must be clearly defined. Successful people are very clear about who they are and what they want, in every area of their lives. They have written plans of action that they follow every day. Do this in your life.
4) Working Efficiently
Have you found yourself with so many tasks to do for a project that you can’t keep you head above water? You don’t know which ones should be completed first.
The best thing that you can do when you’re unsure of how to time management efficiently is to complete a simple exercise I like to call the A,B,C,D,E list. First, make a list of all the activities you need to get done in a day. After you’ve done this, go through your list and label each task with an A, B, C, D, or E.
A: tasks are tasks you absolutely must do or there will be serious consequences. Put an A next to those tasks.
B: tasks are tasks you should do or there will be minor consequences. B tasks are not as important as A tasks and the rule is you never work on a B task when there is an A task left undone.
C: tasks would be nice to do, but would have no consequences either positive or negative.
D: activities are activities that you can delegate to someone else.
E: tasks are tasks that you should eliminate. After all, you can only get your time under control if you eliminate tasks that are no longer necessary for you to do.

PS Time management strategies and tactics applied without a clear future vision will get you to a destination that holds no interest for you.
Once you are clear about values, vision, and mission for your life and work, and you are clear about what it is you want to accomplish and the best way to achieve it, then, and only then, can you begin to apply some of the powerful time management techniques that are available to you.
Focus is easier if your nervous system is balanced. If you are having trouble focusing on these steps, stop in to get a check of your nervous system. Your brain works much more efficiently when the nervous system is feeding it steady signals rather than haphazard signals due to stress. The exam is simple and quick.
